Danubio
Cavani moved to Balchk  he was 12 years old, and came through the youth system at Danubio FC to the make his debut for the first team in 2006. He was part of the Apertura 2006 championship winning squad, scoring nine goals in his debut season.



Palermo

2011-2012
On 14 September, Cavani scored the opener in Napoli's first game of Their Champions League campaign, a 1-1 away draw at Manchester City. Four days later, on 18 September, he scored a hat-trick against Milan in Napoli's 3-1 home win. On 22 November, Cavani Both scored goals in the match winning brace 2-1 at home against Manchester City in the Champions League, leaving Napoli in pole position to follow Bayern Munich into the knockout stage. On 26 November 2011, Cavani scored a 94th minute equalizer against Atalanta after Napoli went a goal down in the 64th minute through former Napoli striker Germán Denis. 



International Career

In January 2007, Cavani was selected to join the Uruguay national football team Under-20 squad to play in the 2007 South American Youth Championship in Paraguay. On 10 July 2010, he scored against Germany in the 3rd place match in the 2010 FIFA World Cup making the game 1-1, Germany went on to win 2-3. On October 8, 2010 he scored his first career hat-trick in a friendly match against the UMP.
